Long Bay in Tortola, in the BVIs, is known for its sandy seabed mixed with rocks and seaweed, providing an anchorage that’s somewhat shielded from the prevailing winds. Anchoring here is manageable, though it’s essential to be cautious of coral and rock patches scattered in the area. This can make navigating to the anchorage spot a bit tricky. It’s a popular beach stop accessible by dinghy, which makes it a convenient option if you want to explore nearby shore activities The beach itself is welcoming, and some visitors enjoy it as a quiet location for swimming and relaxing. Facilities are minimal, so provisioning in advance is recommended. The airport is also very close.
