1 Reviews on “Baia di Panzano”
The anchorage is pretty straightforward, good holding in mud and sand, though you’ll want to make sure you’re well-set if the winds pick up from the south. I dropped anchor here on a calm day, and the view across the water, with the hills rolling in the distance, was simple but calming.
What I loved most about Panzano is the peace. There aren’t a ton of boats around, so it never feels overcrowded, even in the middle of summer. The bay itself is fairly protected, but it’s not completely isolated, Grado isn’t far if you want to stretch your legs and grab some supplies or a bite to eat.
Swimming was decent, though the water isn’t as crystal-clear as in some of the more southern spots. Still, it’s refreshing and perfect for cooling off in the afternoon heat. There’s something special about waking up to the stillness here, the only sounds being the water lapping at the hull and the occasional seabird. Not fancy, but definitely a place I’d return to for a quiet night on the hook.
