I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the locals were. A few boat boys came by to offer help, and while they were eager to chat and sell their wares, their approach was genuinely friendly rather than pushy. The bay is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a stunning view of the nearby hills.
The town of Dennery itself is quite charming, with a more authentic, less touristy feel.
