1 Reviews on “Friendship Bay”
Friendship Bay offers a more tranquil, off-the-beaten-path alternative to the busier Admiralty Bay. The sandy bottom makes for secure anchoring, but be prepared for some swells, especially from the east. It’s a bit more exposed, so if you’re sensitive to rolling, you might want to consider a second anchor to keep your bow into the waves.
The bay itself is lovely, with a quiet beach and a relaxed vibe. It’s less crowded, which gives it a more private feel. The beach is great for relaxing and there’s a small dock which is handy, though it’s a bit rickety. The local bar and restaurant offer a nice spot to unwind, and you might even catch some WiFi if you’re close enough.
