The anchorage is typically calm, with good protection from the prevailing winds and minimal swell due to the surrounding reefs.
However, it’s important to note that the island is privately owned, and access to the beach is restricted. There is a significant fee (up to $100 per person) to set foot on land, which some sailors find prohibitive. This fee limits your onshore experience, as you’ll miss out on the island’s amenities like the bar and boutique.
The seabed here is sandy and offers good holding, with depths generally around 3-4 meters. While snorkeling around the island reveals some beautiful underwater sights, the coral can be a bit damaged. Despite the high access fees, the serene environment and breathtaking views make this anchorage a memorable stop.
