1 Reviews on “Wallibou”
Wallilabou Bay in Saint Vincent is definitely a place with character, though my experiences there have been a mix of highs and lows. The setting is stunning, with the remnants of “Pirates of the Caribbean” adding a unique charm. The anchorage itself is sheltered well from easterly winds, which is a bonus.
However, it’s worth noting that the local boat boys can be quite pushy. I’ve had my fair share of encounters where it felt like I was being nickel-and-dimed. One time, I was quoted one price for mooring, only to have it increased by the time I returned. And it’s not just about the cost; the aggressive sales tactics can be overwhelming.
On a brighter note, the local restaurant near the old film set is a gem. The food was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The real highlight for me was interacting with the locals who brought a taste of authentic Caribbean life.
