1 Reviews on “Baia di Tindari”
The bay’s sandy bottom provides excellent holding, so you can rest easy knowing your anchor will stay put even when the wind picks up. Depths range from about 7 to 15 meters, and the sandy ground mixed with patches of seagrass offers good grip for your anchor.
One thing to be mindful of is the reserve area marked by yellow buoys. They indicate zones where anchoring is restricted, so it’s crucial to anchor outside these limits.
The area near the buoys is where you’ll find the underwater statues, which are a fantastic attraction if you’re into snorkeling or diving. But be cautious as the depth can change quickly as you approach the shore, moving from 8 meters to as little as 2 meters near the beach. The water clarity is superb, making it easy to spot the changes in depth, but it’s still wise to be vigilant, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the area.
