Cala Seregola, located on the northeastern coast of Elba Island in Tuscany, is a picturesque yet relatively exposed anchorage. The beach itself is distinct, with dark sand and remnants of old iron mining activities, giving the area a unique, rustic charm. Anchoring here requires careful attention, as the seabed is a mix of sand and some patches of rock. Holding can be decent in sandy areas, but it’s essential to check the anchor due to varying seabed composition. This anchorage provides limited shelter, so it’s best suited for calm conditions or when westerly winds prevail. Onshore, the surroundings are more rugged than developed, with no major facilities nearby. For supplies or dining, you’ll need to head toward Rio Marina, a short boat ride south, where you’ll find some restaurants and shops.
