This small bay provides shelter from northerly winds, though it’s exposed to southerly, so checking the forecast is key before anchoring here. The anchorage has a mix of sandy and rocky seabed. The surrounding waters are exceptionally clear, with rocky formations underwater that attract marine life. Although there are no direct facilities in Grottacce itself, it’s not far from the town of Lampedusa, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and supply points to stock up before or after your visit. This anchorage is a peaceful option for a day stop exploring the cave.
