Anchoring here is straightforward, but you’ll need to pick up a mooring buoy, as anchoring itself isn’t permitted to protect the seabed. The moorings are well-maintained, and it’s a stress-free process in about 5-6 meters of clear, calm water. Once secured, you’re set in a sheltered spot, with protection mainly from the east and northeast.
The real magic of Britannia Bay is in its balance. You can easily hop ashore and enjoy Basil’s Bar, a legendary spot to grab a cocktail while watching the sunset over the bay.
