Cala Pilota is a secluded anchorage on Menorca’s offering an off-the-beaten-path experience for those seeking solitude. With depths ranging from 4 to 6 meters and a sandy bottom with some patches of rock, the holding here is generally reliable, though it’s best suited for smaller vessels. The cove is relatively protected from most winds, but it can be exposed to easterly winds. Surrounded by rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops, Cala Pilota has clear waters that are excellent for snorkeling and exploring. There are no facilities nearby, and the cove is in a remote area with no access to shops or restaurants, so bringing necessary provisions aboard is essential. For those willing to embrace the quiet, this anchorage provides a peaceful spot away from busier parts of the island. Nearby coves and small beaches make it ideal for a tranquil escape on Menorca’s less-traveled coast.
