La Restinga is a charming but basic marina that serves as a useful stop before heading to the Cape Verde Islands. It offers very affordable haul-out services. Although the marina’s facilities are limited, including no showers or electricity on the concrete quay, it remains a good option for budget-sailors. The marina does not currently have floating docks, which can make mooring tricky, especially with significant tidal variations. The town is small but pleasant, with a few good restaurants and a vibrant local atmosphere. While the town offers limited amenities, it has a great diving scene and beautiful volcanic landscapes. The marina office provides essential supplies.
