This natural harbour, known for its deep waters and wide entrance, has been a favored port for mariners since the colonial era. It was a strategic port for the British Royal Navy and a bustling hub for trade and commerce. The remnants of this rich history are visible in the well-preserved Georgian architecture and the historic Nelson’s Dockyard, a UNESCO World Heritage site nearby.
