Kamari Bay is a wide, spacious anchorage with good protection from the Meltemi winds, making it a solid option when sheltering from strong northerlies. The sandy seabed provides excellent holding, particularly at depths of 4-6 meters. Anchoring here feels secure, even in gusty conditions, anchors are holding well through winds as strong as 40 knots.

Despite its practical benefits, Kamari can be quite busy with jet skis and speedboats weaving around anchored yachts, which can make swimming a bit hazardous. There’s a small pontoon for dinghies in the nearby fishing harbor. For those looking to stretch their legs ashore, there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and a few supermarkets.
