I dropped anchor in 5-6m of water, and the holding on the sandy, sometimes muddy bottom was superb. The bay is protected from most winds, but be ready for gusts, especially from the NW. During my stay, I enjoyed calm, still waters, although a few ferries pass by, they don’t cause much disturbance. The bay is surrounded by stunning views of the monastery, and if you’re lucky, you might spot turtles swimming around your boat! Onshore, a small bakery offers fresh bread and pastries, perfect for breakfast. The walk to the nearby windmill provides fantastic sunset views. While the water can be a bit murky due to stirred-up sediment, it doesn’t detract from the bay’s charm.
