The anchorage itself is well-protected from winds coming from the west to east and south, providing a calm setting for a peaceful night’s sleep.

The bottom here is primarily mud, which holds well but makes the water a bit murky. Despite this, the lack of significant wave action means your boat will stay put comfortably. I enjoyed the quiet nights with hardly any rolling, which is perfect if you want to rest easy.

One of the highlights was taking a dinghy ride to explore the nearby area. Although the village isn’t bustling, it’s charming and has all the essentials. You can find a small grocery store and some local shops, and there’s even a bus that makes getting around pretty convenient. For a change of pace, you can take a nice trip down the Sale River, which offers beautiful views and an interesting contrast to the usual sea scenery.
