The anchorage is fairly protected, though it does open to the southwest, which can bring in some swell. The seabed is mostly sand and mud, providing decent holding. The water here is generally calm, but visibility can be a bit murky, so be prepared for that when it comes to diving or snorkeling. Amenities around Anse de Malendure are limited but sufficient. There’s a small but welcoming local beach where you can land your dinghy. For provisions, you’ll need to make a trip to the nearby town of Bouillante, which is a short drive away. Bouillante offers a range of shops, restaurants, and local markets where you can stock up on essentials or enjoy a meal.
