Antigua

The 17th and 18th centuries saw Antigua becoming a crucial hub for the British Navy. Immortalised in Nelson’s Dockyard, this UNESCO World Heritage site is the only continuously working Georgian dockyard in the world. Named after Admiral Horatio Nelson, who was stationed here in the 1780s, the dockyard is now a living museum, with beautifully restored buildings, hotels, and restaurants.
