Anchoring in sandy bottom, but there are rocks, so be careful, also posidonia, anchor at around 8 meters, there is more sand at 5 meters, closer to the beach. Good holding ground, I used a 15 kg CQR for an 8-meter boat, which is quite heavy. I stayed for two days. It is protected from North and NW Meltemi, but not from NE and E. Very disturbing waves from the East make it difficult to sleep due to the significant movement. It is completely unprotected towards the East. With the dinghy, you can row ashore and leave it tied at the small beach and visit the town. Right there, you have the old Mandraki port, a supermarket, and bars. Also, the three windmills, the lighthouse castle, and all the walls of the old town. In winter, it is much more pleasant, there are no people, and the weather is very good, you can swim.
Very comfortable anchorage except with NE wind (rare), and the wash from the cruise ships from time to time.
You can conveniently leave your dinghy on either surrounding port.
